V! No Heroes Allowed R! for PS4 is a real-time strategy game developed by a Japanese division of Sony Interactive Entertainment in cooperation with Acquire. The action takes place in the universe created for the purposes of What Did I Do to Deserve This? for PlayStation Portable.
Plot
V! No Heroes Allowed R! takes us to a fantastical world. The sinister Overlord Badman wants to take control over it, and to make it happen, he summons the God of Destruction, whom we assume the role of. The task that awaits is to eliminate the eponymous heroes that try to thwart this plan. During the game, Badmella – Overlord Badman’s daughter known from What Did I Do to Deserve This? 2 – watches over our actions.
Mechanics
We observe the events of V! No Heroes Allowed R! from an isometric view. At the core of the game is expanding the army that we lead to battle – the system is based on a classical food chain in which bigger creatures eat the smaller ones. It’s worth mentioning that contrary to most RTS titles, we don’t have a direct control over our army. Instead, we can sort of “suck in” a group of monsters into the controller, and then drop it a place of our choosing. Shaking the pad with beasts inside results in creation of a Magic Circle. With it, we can summon more powerful units such as demons. However, the power of the circle – and, by extent, the strength of the summoned units – depends on the battle potential of the monsters used to create it.
Moreover, there is a number of special skills at our disposal. We unlock them by collecting the so-called Dragon Orbs. These include Demon Thunder (that shocks a target which results not only in it taking damage but also a short paralysis) or Demon March (making monsters march to the place of our choosing).
Technical aspects
The three-dimensional graphics of V! No Heroes Allowed R! for PS4 presents an average level, even if you consider that it is a VR production. The game features characteristic, fabulous visual style.
