Urban Trial Tricky: Deluxe Edition Description
Urban Trial Tricky is a hybrid of racing and 2.5D platformer, in which we sit at the helm of the motorbike and overcome the obstacle course on time, performing various scoring tricks on it. The game, which was created exclusively for the Nintendo Switch console, is the responsibility of Warsaw-based Tate Multimedia studio. The game is part of the Urban Trial series.
Mechanics
Like previous releases of Urban Trial and the Trials series, the gameplay is to dynamically move your bike around a twisted track, overcoming obstacles and counting the challenges of doing crazy tricks on more than 30 different levels. Not only is it important in the game to control the pace and perform tricks and combinations (the more complicated, the better the score), but also the time when the route was completed is taken into account. Importantly, you can move in both directions. The game is easy to learn, but more difficult to master.
The developers allow a lot of possibilities to modify their motorcycle and rider's costume, which can be adjusted, as well as the movements of the characters, to the style preferred by the player.
Game modes
Urban Trial Tricky was created exclusively for single player gameplay. The game offers three different game modes and rankings.
Technical aspects
Urban Trial Tricky was developed on the popular Unreal Engine 4. The visuals are very colourful and have a cartoon-like, light tone. Locations are full of various details, e.g. in the background you can see a basketball court or tables with food near the restaurant. The game works with 60 frames per second.
