Unforeseen Incidents is the first project of the German studio Backwood Entertainment. The company has been established by three rookie developers: Marcus Bäumer (designer, writer and programmer), Matthias Nikutta (artist and animator) and Tristan Berger.

Plot

The game follows the story of Harper Pendrell – a talented handyman living in a small town. One day he finds a dying woman on a street, but it is only the start of his troubles. It turns out that she is connected to the scheme concerning an unknown illness that spreads through an entire country. Left with no other choice, Harper must uncover the truth and stop the plague with a help from a few other individuals.

Game mechanics

Unforeseen Incidents is a classic point-and-click adventure game, focusing on exploring locations and searching for items, people and tips that will help us progress. We also solve more or less complicated puzzles and talk to interesting characters.

Technical aspects

While it doesn’t stand out with gameplay, Unforeseen Incident uses quite unique visuals. Creators delivered a hand-painted world filled with detailed locations and characters.
