Mechanics

In Undead Inc. we watch the action from the side. We start by choosing the location of our facility. Individual places differ in terms of functionality and the challenges that await us. Once that's done we can throw ourselves into the arms of the medical business.

During the game, we create office space and medical facilities (also underground), and employ personnel diversified in terms of skills, culture from which they come, and efficiency. The more we are able to pay our staff, the better the results of their work. Additionally, we are responsible for managing directors who act on our behalf in overseeing interests. Each of them has their own strengths and individual abilities and equipment.

If we decide to engage only in fully legal activities, including working on permitted medications and treating patients, the facility will generate limited profits. Since money is the driving force of our entire business, in order to maximize profits, over time we are faced with the need to ignore ethical issues and start more risky research, including on illegal bacteria and viruses. Such initiatives may allow us to develop both innovative, incredibly effective treatment methods, and to create a terrifying biological weapons.

It is worth remembering that acting above the law may cause us serious problems. Taking care of the loyalty of subordinates, corrupting or intimidating politicians, and keeping the police at a distance can protect us from them. It is equally important to take care of safety issues. When an accident occurs in the laboratory, there may not be enough time to gather trusted employees, research data, and sufficient funds to create a new, better business elsewhere.
