A dynamic shooter inspired by both turn-of-the-century FPSs and games like Dante's Inferno or Devil May Cry. In Ultrakill we play the role of a robot that rides through hell and eliminates hordes of demons, trying to get as much life-giving blood as possible.

Ultrakill is an extremely dynamic FPS, developed by independent developer Arsi "Hakita" Patala. This game was inspired by the cult shooters of the 1990s, as well as by the new members of the genre (headed by Doom) and games like Devil May Cry or Dante's Inferno.

Plot

Ultrakill takes us on a journey to an alternative reality in which humanity is long extinct and the Earth is inhabited by robots. The power supply for these machines provides blood, so when the latter begins to be lacking, they decide to go to the hellish places that are full of it. We play as one of the mechanical warriors who, in order to survive, must face hordes of demons.

Mechanics

In Ultrakill we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). During the game, we are running ahead at a dizzying pace and eliminating hostiles, among which we find both smaller enemies in wholesale quantities and powerful demons acting as bosses. The clashes are extremely fast and brutal, and approaching the fountains of blood, in which the enemies die, allows the wounds to heal. While playing, it is important to remember to kill your enemy in the best possible style; in return, you receive points that you spend on buying alternative versions of individual weapons. And as for the arsenal, there are rifles, pistols and shotguns on our base.

Technical aspects

The graphic design of Ultrakill has been maintained in a retro style reminiscent of turn-of-the-century FPS. The pace of the struggle is enhanced by fast, electronic soundtrack.
