An adventure strategy game based on one of the most famous novels by famous American science fiction writer Philip K. Dick under the same title. Runciter, head of Runciter Associates, an organization of people with parapsychic abilities, is injured in the Luna and dies along with a group of his employees. His brain is transported to a moratorium, where it is kept alive by means of complicated medical equipment. Strange things are beginning to happen among the group of workers who are witnesses of the accident. Several of them die in strange circumstances, and the main suspect is Pat, a new corporate employee and the mysterious "Ubik". - a name that appears unexpectedly on various objects of everyday use.
In the game we play the role of Joe Chipa, the main character of the book, to wander with him through the postmodern world created in the minds of people possessing the power of PSI. Joe Chip works for Runciter Associates, based in Los Angeles, as a protection against industrial espionage. Thanks to the enormous development of genetic engineering and the invention of replicants, most large corporations use PSI services to gain secret information about the competition. In the game you have to gather an appropriate team of specialists from various fields (especially those with parapsychic abilities), and then train and equip them accordingly. The game takes place in real time in a three-dimensional environment, where characters can interactively influence some elements and talk to NPCs. The intriguing and complicated plot is divided into a series of missions, between which film inserts have been woven.
