A puzzle game in which the gameplay takes place on a two-dimensional board covered with a grid of fields. It is your task to rotate the board and move the colored balls on it in such a way as to combine them with various colored objects. In Turnabout, more than a hundred such puzzles with an increasing difficulty level are waiting for the player to solve them. The title also allows you to design your own puzzles thanks to the built-in editor.

Turnabout is a puzzle game developed by the Artdink studio, which found its way to the PS1 platform. Initially, the title was also intended for the PlayStation 2, the Nintendo Gamecube and the Xbox, but the developers eventually withdrew from these plans.

Mechanics

The Turnabout game takes place on a two-dimensional board covered with a grid of fields (its maximum size is 16x16 squares). The task of the player is to solve a hundred puzzles which revolve around combining colored objects - balls that move on the board and blocks fixed to specific fields; when two elements of the same colour come into contact with each other, they disappear from the field. The initial puzzles are not very difficult, but the level of complexity increases as you make progress. With time you will have to move the ball between several blocks at the same time, or even move several different colored balls along the board; moreover, there are obstacles in the form of colorless blocks (moving or not) of different shapes.
