Trulon: The Shadow Engine Description
Trulon: The Shadow Engine, released on PC, AND, etc., is an RPG developed by Kyy Games studio - the developer's portfolio includes the Cabals series, as well as the Knights of Pen and Paper series. It should be noted that it is a kind of spin-off of Shadow Gears novels by Jak Koke, an American fantasy writer.
Plot
Trulon: The Shadow Engine takes place in an unusual universe that combines steampunk with fantasy elements, such as magic. The main character is Gladia, a monster hunter leading a four-person team. The heroes are faced with the task of finding a cure for a mysterious disease killing people in two kingdoms: Tripuda and Maelon.
Mechanics
The action in Trulon: The Shadow Engine is presented in isometric projection. In terms of gameplay mechanics, the production doesn't differ from other representatives of the genre. The core of the game is exploration, conversations with NPCs and completing tasks assigned by them. Equally important, however, are the clashes with opponents, during which we make use of special cards collected during our adventure. The richer our deck is, the more tactical possibilities we have during turn-based battles. The key to success is also the skillful use of the individual abilities of our heroes. The whole is complemented by environmental puzzles, the solving of which often pushes the action forward.
Technical aspects
Visually, Trulon: The Shadow Engine looks decent. The graphic design has been maintained in a characteristic cartoon style, and the attention is drawn especially to the diverse, picturesque locations. The title also has an original soundtrack which intensifies the atmosphere of a great adventure.
