Trucker 2 is a continuation of the truck driving simulator issued in 2006. This time players have the opportunity to drive 5 types of tractors and drive to the dangerous American motorways. Developers from Play Publishing have prepared nearly 60 tasks to complete.

Trucker 2 is the second installment in the series of arcade truck driving simulators published by Play Publishing. Contrary to the original of 2006, the action of Trucker 2 takes place in North America, where players can sit behind the wheels of huge tractor trucks.

The main campaign of Trucker 2 consists of nearly 60 missions. The player’s tasks involve mostly driving to designated places as fast as possible or before the AI-controlled competition. It is no easy task because of the traffic, vigilant law enforcers and changing weather.

There are 5 kinds of vehicles to choose from in the game, garbage truck and cistern involved. Thanks to the money earned for performing various missions, we may modify them, changing their appearance and basic technical parameters.

Although the game utilizes the advanced NVIDIA PhysX Engine, the driving model of Trucker 2 has little to do with realism. Controls are therefore purely arcade and our results are significantly influenced by the collectable power-ups, among other things.

The audiovisual layer of the game does not deviate from other low-budget productions in Play Publishing’s portfolio. Both the trucks and the environments are poorly detailed. However, the day and night cycle as well as blur effect achieved by driving at high speed deserve attention.
