Treasures of the Deep Description
Treasures of the Deep is an action-adventure game developed by Black Ops Entertainment.
Story
In Treasures of the Deep, the player takes on the role of Jack Runyan, a former member of Navy SEALs, who earns a living as a mercenary working for the Undersea Mercenary Agency. The protagonist undertakes the most difficult underwater missions and quickly begins to compete with certain Simon Black, who is the head of a rivalling organization that sows terror in the oceans of the world.
Mechanics
In Treasures of the Deep we observe the action from first-person perspective. The mainstay of the game is to explore the depths and perform the tasks assigned to us; the missions include plundering shipwrecks, helping the victims of air disasters and mitigating the effects of environmental disasters (such as oil spills), and finally destroying underwater structures belonging to thebenemies. In total, fourteen locations, including the Bermuda Triangle, the Arctic, and the Great Barrier Reef, are waiting to be visited.
During the game, Jack uses not only suits but also single-person bathyscaphe and submarines (from the simplest USN RV-1, to Viper, an irreplaceable tool in battles against adversaries). The protagonist uses torpedoes, remote-controlled robots, and night vision goggles, among other things. All this can be improved by using the treasures acquired during the game. Usually the hero is not alone at the bottom of the ocean - hsi job is interruped by aggressive creatures living in the deep sea (with sharks at the forefront) and hostile employees of the competing company.
Technical aspects
Three-dimensional visuals of Treasures of the Deep impressed with quality at the time of the game's release. Even today, player attention is drawn by the richly animated animals living in the underwater depths and visual effects in the form of air bubbles appearing on the screen.
