Steam
A continuation of a warmly-received economic strategy game from 2015. During the game, we assume the role of a manager of a railway with a goal to expand and upgrade the infrastructure; aside from the above, we need to continuously watch the already existing railways and intervene during emergencies, all in the name of being able to match the increasing demand for transport services.

Train Valley 2: Community Edition Description
Train Valley 2 is a sequel to a warmly-received economic strategy with logic game elements that was released in 2015. The title is a project developed by three independent developers – Alexei Dawidov, Sergei Dwojnikov and Timofey Szargorodski.
Mechanics
Similarly to the dev team’s previous project, Train Valley 2 sees us assume the role of a manager of a network of railways whose mission is to expand and upgrade the infrastructure in order to meet the increased demand for transport services in the titular valley. The game is divided into fifty stages spanning from the industrial revolution up to the near future.
We use tracks, bridges, and tunnels to create more and more functional railways which are used by trains (eighteen types of railway engines, from simple steam-powered locomotives up to futuristic trains; we can further increase their performance through various modifications) and 35 types of carriages. As can easily be imagined, creating railways is just the beginning – during the game, we need to respond to alerts, building switches, railway sidings and secondary lines where needed, and making sure that the company will continue to be solvent. Fortunately, the authors have introduced an active pause, enabling us to plan the next moves without unnecessary hassle.
Technical Aspects
Train Valley 2 offers simple, yet clear visual style based on large polygons, maintaining a colorful, slightly cartoon design.
The game is integrated with Steam workshop feature – we can use the in-game editor to create maps and share them with the rest of the community. Moreover, the authors supplied tools needed for designing own railway engines, carriages, resources, and companies.
