Train Simulator 2015 Description
Train Simulator 2015 is another game in the series – known also with titles Rail Simulator and RailWorks – developed from 2007 by studio Rail Simulator Developments (or Dovetail Games). Edition released in 2014 is compatible with all add-ons for previous games and it has been released as a free update for all who bought Train Simulator 2014.
The core of the gameplay hasn’t been changed in regard to the predecessor – it is still a treat for all fans of rail which offers an ocassion to drive various trains on routes in all corners of the world. There is also an editor that allows fans to create their own trains, routes and tasks.
One of the most important innovations in Train Simulator 2015 is TS Academy – an extensive training mode with special training area. It makes easier for amateurs to get used to various elements of the advanced simulation and become acquaint with various types of trains.
There are also new models of trains – especially passenger trains manufactured by Hitachi Rail Europe (electric and bi-mode). These were expected to go into passenger service in 2018 so thanks to Train Simulator 2015 players could get behind the controls a few years in advance. In addition to this Dovetail Games prepared three new routes: London to Peterborough East Coast Main Line route (including the First Capital Connect Class 365 plus Hitachi Class 800/801 trains), New York to New Haven North East Corridor route (including the Amtrak ACS-64 plus Amtrak Acela Express trains) and Munich to Garmisch-Partenkirschen route (including the DB BR 426 plus DB 411 ICE T trains).
Producer also brought some innovations into the editor which made it easier and quicker to use.
Train Simulator 2015 uses the same technology which was used in its predecessors so there are only few cosmetic improvements in the graphics in regard to edition 2014.
