Train Simulator 2014 Description
Train Simulator 2014 for PC is the new edition of one of the most successful railway simulator series, which is continuously developed by Dovetail Games studio. Once a year, the railway enthusiasts receive everything what they can dream of: stunning visuals, feeling of speed, faithfully recreated train models, real railways, and game modes brimming with challenges. A huge fan community built around the game and its advanced editor, which enables the creation of one’s own tracks shouts that Train Simulator is not just a simple game anymore, but more of a virtual hobby.
Gameplay
One of the highlights of the game is the improved career mode, giving the player the ability to steer faithfully recreated railway engines – including classic ones, such as steam or diesel powered, but also modern, electric ones – and engage in some real railway freight, speeding up to 300 km per hour on tracks, with some of them spanning up to 200 km in length. This gives the players the ability to get acquainted with a huge number of real railway engines, and cult-classic tracks, recreated with scrutinous attention to details. Another defining feature of the game is the complex editor, which allows us to create our own tracks, and sharing them with the players all around the world using Steam Workshop, the support of which has been introduced in the previous year’s installment.
The 2014 edition contains new, more intuitive user interface that allows even the less experienced railwaymen to get the gist of the controls quite easily and proceed to develop a reputation among other players. An additional highlight are the points acquired for progress in the game, which are used to score rewards such as medals and achievements. The authors introduced a range of visual improvements, such as more detailed graphics, new camera system, and modern visual effects that make the driving experience even more realistic.
Misc.
Train Simulator 2014 for PC is completely compatible with all, 100 previously released add-ons that introduce new locomotives and railways. Their ever-growing number is a guarantee of multi-hour playthroughs, and that the game won’t get boring quickly. Nevertheless, the developer tried to not only to attract a number of new players, but also appreciated the most loyal fans of the series, so once again, all owners of the previous installment, receive the upgrade to 2014 version completely for free.
