A relaxing city builder from the authors of Station to Station. In the voxel world of Town to City our main goal is to build a 19th century Mediterranean city and make sure that its residents are happy. The construction system in the game is grid-free, allowing us to place objects wherever we want. We can play a campaign and a sandbox mode.
Town to City is a relaxing city builder in which we erect and develop a nineteenth-century city built by the Mediterranean Sea. The production was handled by Galaxy Grove. This is a team of about a dozen people from the Netherlands, known thanks to Station to Station game.
Gameplay
In Town to City, we start with a railway station and an empty plot of land. We aim to transform the latter into a bustling Mediterranean city. We place buildings and roads, also taking care of the visual aspect, which is aided by a wide range of decorations. Most of them can be adapted to other elements of the environment, hence we are able to construct a window flower pot by placing a planter under the window instead of on the ground, or transform a street lamp into a hanging lamp for the purpose of illuminating the house door.
Unlike traditional city builders, Town to City offers a grid-free building system, allowing objects to be placed anywhere.
The game also emphasizes the life of the community. As families move into our settlement, we get to know their needs and desires. We assign workers to tasks, conduct trade and research in the field of agriculture, and by expanding beyond the borders of the first small town, we create tourist trails.
Game modes
Town to City provides both a campaign and a sandbox mode.
Graphics and music
The visual design of Town to City is maintained in a voxel style and is accompanied by a relaxing soundtrack.
