Continuation of the very original skateboard game Touchgrind Skate, using a realistic control model in which the player's fingers act as the legs of a virtual skater. The game offers 4 advanced skate-parks, where you can test your skills in one of the game modes: Training, Competition, Jam Session and multi-player Game of S.K.A.T.E.
Tocuhgrind Skate 2 is the second installment of the original skateboard game launched on mobile devices with the iOS system. The authors of the original from Illusion Labs studio are responsible for the creation of the title, which also has a twin production of Touchgrind BMX.
Thanks to the unique capabilities of mobile devices with a touch screen, this title is in fact one of the most advanced skateboard simulators that have been created (not only on mobile platforms). The originality of the Touchgrind Skate cycle is based on a unique control model in which we use our two fingers as if they were virtual equivalents of the real skater's legs. Thanks to this solution, the game with unusual realism simulates the way of skateboarding and although we cannot find here the possibility of performing impressive combos (such as in the Tony Hawk series), the whole fun gives much more satisfaction, especially for players who have an idea of real skateboarding.
Touchgrind Skate 2 on iOS offers four quite extensive skate-parks, where we can test our skills in one of the available gameplay variants. Among them you will find Competition mode, Jam Session (i.e. free riding mode) and designed to play in asynchronous multiplayer Game of S.K.A.T.E. However, in order to have any chance to confront virtual or live opponents, we have to spend a lot of time in training mode, which allows you to learn all the secrets of the game and master the basic skateboard tricks. In the game there were also extensive possibilities of modifying our board, which during the game can be improved both mechanically and visually.
In terms of binding, Touchgrind Skate 2 offers high quality, full three-dimensional graphics, which is a very important step forward compared to the original. The action is observed from the third person perspective, and the camera is located just behind the skateboard at a delicate angle, so that when playing, we do not hide the screen. During our stay in the menu we are accompanied by a pleasant soundtrack, but during the ride the music is quiet, allowing us to focus on the gameplay itself.
