The Furious Wild is a large expansion to the 2019 strategy Total War: Three Kingdoms. It does not change the fundamental gameplay mechanics. Instead, it enlarges the available map and introduces new content, including fractions and another technology tree.
The Furious Wild is the first big add-on to the Total War: Three Kingdoms. The Creative Assembly is responsible for the development of the title, and its release was handled by SEGA.
Plot
Total War: Three Kingdoms - The Furious Wild was set in southern tropical China. The area is inhabited by Nanman people. It is divided into smaller tribes, led by four heroes - Menga Huo, Mulu, Zhurong and Shamoke. Each of the warlords has unique mechanics and units.
Mechanics
Total War: Three Kingdoms - The Furious Wild does not introduce changes in the fundamental gameplay mechanics. Instead, the developers decided to expand the content available in the game. The expansion introduces new missions, 4 factions, 25 units (including troops with animals) and the Nanman tribe technology tree. The character development system has also been modified - unlocking abilities requires a specific action.
