Mechanics

Total Tank Simulator is played on two planes. We start the clashes by constructing buildings of strategic importance (such as airports, barracks, factories or bunkers) and deploying individual units on a board observed from bird's eye view. The creators prepared for us more than two hundred types of the former, and among them we can find not only the title tanks, but also aircraft, artillery and finally infantry (from soldiers fighting on the front line to snipers eliminating enemies from a safe distance). Then, nothing stands in the way of taking direct control of one of our soldiers and sitting at the helm of a chosen machine, or grabbing a rifle and going into battle with the enemies on our own.

We conduct warfare in one of four sceneries (spring, summer, autumn and winter). The devs have prepared over fifty different maps located in sandy Africa, snowy Russian taiga or in the green plains of Europe. The environment is susceptible to destruction, which can be used to our advantage and, depending on the needs, even levelelling buildings, "deforesting" (in a less-then-subtle way, using shells and explosives) or set vegatation ablaze or flooding selected areas with water. The only exceptions are rocks that can serve as indestructible cover. It is worth remembering that enemies have the same capabilities.

Game modes

The mainstay of the game is a campaign, in which we take control of the forces of one of the conflicting factions and take part in various missions. In Duels, our goal is to eliminate all the enemies on the map, Kill the VIP sets before us the goal of killing certain enemy units before the time limit expires, Protect the VIP forces us to protect selected allies, while in Siege we are put on the defensive and must defend ourselves against waves of attacking adversaries.

What's mode, there is a free mode, where we don't get any specific tasks to perform, and the Shadowfight mode, where we have to face one of our own victorious armies.

Technical aspects

Total Tank Simulator features pleasant, low-poly graphics (based on clearly visible polygons). The whole thing is extremely colorful and at the same time transparent, which enables us to quickly grasp the situation on the battlefield. The game also uses an advanced physics engine to ensure that vehicles and buildings and other elements of the environment are destroyed in a realistic way.
