Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Critical Hour Description
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Critical Hour is another installment in a best-selling series of tactical action games, originated in 1998 and endorsed by a famous American political thriller writer. The previous game, entitled Lockdown, was released on PC and three stationary consoles. The newest one was designed by Ubisoft exclusively for PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
This time developers went back to the roots of the franchise, by including all the classic gameplay elements won hearts of players in the late 1990s. A single player campaign was implemented, consisting of seven expansive missions (selected by fans and overhauled missions from the first Rainbow Six and Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear), in which you command an elite anti-terrorist squad. You play in first person perspective, looking through character’s protective glasses with a mounted HUD. It is noteworthy that the story focuses on events after John Clark hands over the command to Ding Chavez.
In both single player and multiplayer (16 locations, a number of various play modes), you and your men travel around the world – starting from Venetia, through Siberia, Mexico, and Idaho, USA. Your squad members can be equipped with over 20 different types of weapons and various gadgets helpful in combating terrorism. The developers of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Critical Hour put much emphasis on realism, which is evident e.g. in behavior of enemies and friends.
