To be a disciple of Jesus is an educational adventure game created by Pasterz, a company specializing in Christian productions. The title is intended mainly for children and in addition to having fun, it is also intended to provide them with a handful of useful information.

The player takes on the role of a young boy, who must deliver the Apostle Paul's letter to one of the Christian communities. The mission, of course, will not be easy, because during the adventure we will come across various tasks (including those of spreading the truth about Jesus), which it is necessary to perform in order to get to the next stage. The action takes place in Palestine, in the times of the first Christians, several dozen years after the death of Jesus Christ.

The game uses standard point-and-click mechanisms. This means that the player travels through successive boards, on which he finds objects necessary to solve the assigned tasks. Gameplay is varied by various mini games, e.g. puzzles. During the game, we also meet independent characters, commissioning us with new missions, as well as giving us valuable tips and advice. It is also thanks to them that children learn about the contents of the Gospel.

Being a disciple of Jesus attaches great importance to religious and historical education. Production, according to developers, brings closer the culture, tradition and everyday life of people living in the times of the first Christians. During their work, the artists used photographs of the Holy Land to represent this place in the best possible way. Thanks to this you can see how such places as synagogue, market square, bathhouse, smithy, carpentry or pottery could look like. In addition, many elements of the game are described in detail. Just move the mouse cursor over the selected item or character to get to know the various curiosities.

Graphic design of the production does not look very good. The title is devoid of high quality textures, details are missing, and character animation is very simple. The game does not have high hardware requirements and any PC is enough to play comfortably.
