Time Guard is an adventure game from the Czech company Zima Software. Players will take on the role of a private detective named Ryszard, commissioned by the Russian scientist Santusov. Santusov discovers that the Russian Secret Service intends to change the world by using his machine to modify the future. Our hero sets out into the future (by the way, by the vehicle also invented by Santusov) to check if the scientist is telling the truth - it turns out that yes, Santusov is telling the truth, and the world of the future is the world captured by the Soviet Union. Unfortunately, when trying to return to the past, the device enabling return breaks down, and the only person who can repair it and thus enable our hero to move to his time is Santusow.
Detective Ryszard traveling in time and space (including Hawaii in the Stone Age, to 18th century Egypt and Paris Robespierre's time), must make contact with a scientist and remove the defect. Of course, wherever a malfunctioning machine throws us, we will have to oppose numerous adversities, solve a number of riddles and make contact with various, not always friendly people. As the creators point out, conversations with side characters and puzzles are the real salt of this production. The Time Guard has three-dimensional graphics.
