Tim Power Fire-Fighter is one of three titles included in a Ubisoft game series Tim Power. The game was prepared with a view of boys aged 5-10. A young player can become a brave fire-fighter. Tim Power Fire-Fighter was released exclusively on Nintendo DS console.
The main game mode features a dozen or so interconnected missions. The young player does a series of tasks given by his superior, in order to catch an arsonist and extinguish fires started by the madman. Tim Power Fire-Fighter is set in a fictitious American metropolis.
The gameplay proper is divided into two types. Arriving to the scene of the fire has you drive a fire truck. These sections of gameplay resemble a simple driving game. The player has to reach his destination point within a time limit, while avoiding crashing into civilian cars.
Another type of gameplay is extinguishing fires. The player has to break out a firehose, put out flames, and save people trapped in a burning building. The latter includes breaking down the door, removing burning timber, etc. Missions are dynamic, and often come with additional complications.
Apart from main missions you may also perform side missions that unlock new accessories and valuable fire truck upgrades. These include bigger bumpers, more powerful engines, louder sirens, and better emergency vehicle lighting.
Tim Power Fire-Fighter has similar graphics to other games in the series. The game features partly 3D environment and clear user interface.
