Thunderstrike is a simple arcade game that takes you into the distant future until 2238. As a pilot of an organization called GDG (Ground Defense Games), you will use your ship to destroy enemy units trying to destroy the pyramids located here and there.

There are four vessels to choose from, differing in performance (acceleration, maximum speed and speed of rotation). You will fight in the arenas, which will be successively attacked by enemy ships appearing from all over the world. The player's task is not only to effectively destroy enemy units, but also to find and neutralize portals from which the enemy invades. At the end of each round, the organization will evaluate your progress and allow you to expand your ship.

Graphics offers simple three-dimensional vector graphics in 256 (VGA) or 16 (EGA) colours. The ship can be controlled by both the keyboard and the mouse - the latter solution seems to be more effective. Sounds are limited to the Speaker's PC screams and the musical leitmotif that appears at the beginning of the game. Generally, it's a pretty good shooting, as long as it doesn't bother somebody like one pyramid shoots balls at the other.
