Players will learn a fairy tale about Thumbelina, and at the same time they can practice reading and counting, check their memory and demonstrate their plastic skills. Technical aspects

Thumbelina Interactive Book, released on PC and iOS, was developed by Aidem Media and addressed to the youngest players. The source of inspiration for developers was the famous fairy tale of Hans Christian Andersen. The game has been designed as a mix of educational, adventure and arcade games.

Plot

The plot of the game loosely refers to the original - the action takes place on the pages of the book. Players follow Thumbelina's adventures and, at key moments, they can help the heroine to perform specific tasks.

Mechanics

The creators of the game tried to make Thumbelina Interactive Book stimulate children's development, hence the mini-games of the memo type (practicing memory and concentration), costumes shaping the sense of aesthetics, as well as coloring books helping to improve artistic skills. During the game, young players have the opportunity to complete puzzles, test their dexterity, learn to recognize sounds, and even practice counting while preparing... a pizza.

The control system and user interface have been adapted to the capabilities of the youngest customers. The game is also devoid of any elements of violence.

Technical aspects

The 2D visuals of Thumbelina Interactive Book attract attention with their cartoon style and intense colours. The developers took care of, among other things, nicely presented animations and characters. The gameplay is accompanied by non-imposing background music.
