Those Who Remain is a psychological thriller taking place in a small town in the USA, where the action is observed from a first person perspective. The game puts a lot of emphasis on the heavy, disturbing atmosphere and can evoke associations with titles such as Alan Wake, as well as Polish The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Kholat.
Those Who Remain is a dark, poignant psychological thriller. In the game we observe the world from first-person perspective, similarly as in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter or Kholat. Independent studio Camel 101 is responsible for creating this production.
Story
The action of Those Who Remain takes place in modern times in Dormont - a small town in the USA. The player takes on the role of Edward Turner - an ordinary man with a difficult past, who has a unique bad luck and ends up in all the wrong places at the wrong time. Although on the surface Dormont resembles an ordinary town, it soon turns out that something is hellishly wrong with this place. Strange, terrifying beings lurk in the darkness, murdering all those who approach. The only way to survive is to stay close to light. However, darkness is not the only threat in Dormont - here and there you can encounter strange portals, leading to a seemingly unreal place, which affects the real world in an unexplained way.
Mechanics
Created by Camel 101, the game is a classic first-person horror. The player travels through successive locations, trying to survive and solve the riddle of supernatural problems troubling Dormont. It is also worth noting that some of the choices made during the game are important.

Those Who Remain offers a single-player experience only.
Technical aspects
Those Who Remain stands out with its realistic, three-dimensional visuals that do a great job building a heavy, dark atmosphere. Noteworthy are the lighting system and physics of objects.
