Mechanics

Thirsty Suitors is a third-person game. The player progresses the story and talks to numerous characters. Sometimes Jala must face off against skaters, pick-up artists and her exes, leading to turn-based combat. The player must make good use of the protagonist's abilities and the mood system; all enemies have weaknesses we must discover and exploit to prevail.

Jala can also skateboard around Timber Hills; this lets us traverse the streets faster, grind on railings and even wall run. There's also a fast-paced minigame tied to cooking. Jala must acrobatically prepare various dishes inspired by South Asian cuisine, trying to impress her mother and repair their relationship.
