Game mechanics

They Always Run is a side-scrolling game. The driving force of the game are the hunts for subsequent types of the dark star, in return for which Aiden receives both money and valuable information. The adventure takes him through a variety of locations - from futuristic cities, through desolate wastelands, to the ruins of long forgotten civilizations.

Aiden faces numerous opponents, with whom he fights both with firearms and in close combat, using cold weapons or his own fists. Aiden is also a mutant equipped with a third arm, which gives him a supernatural advantage over his enemies. Aiden can simultaneously shoot in several directions, as well as defend himself in situations in which a normal human lacks the "free hand" (for example, while hanging from an edge held with both hands). Aiden's extra arm is also much stronger than his other arms, allowing him to throw enemies and other heavy objects and destroy obstacles. Interestingly, Aiden's third arm is controlled directly, allowing you to freely choose the direction in which you want to use it, both to aim the gun and to strike.

As we progress, we develop the protagonist by acquiring new skills and equipment, as well as upgrading his existing abilities and items.

Technical aspects

Graphics in They Always Run is made in a cartoon style. The game takes place to the accompaniment of a catchy soundtrack that blends well with the space western atmosphere.
