One of the first games released for PCs with MS DOS. The title is a simple text RPG in which, as an adventurer, we enter the castle of a sorcerer in search of treasures and a powerful artifact.

The Wizard's Castle is a text RPG game, originally created by Joseph R. Powers on Exidy Sorcerer computers and moved as one of the first productions on PCs, shortly after their world premiere. In 1984 the game was converted in a slightly newer programming language GW-BASIC and re-released under the name Temple of Loth.

The plot of the game tells the story of a great sorcerer named Zot, who forged a powerful artifact called the Ball of Power. Soon afterwards, the magician disappeared in mysterious circumstances, leaving the title castle full of monsters, traps and precious treasures at the forefront of the artifact. The player plays the role of an adventurer who enters the sorcerer's shrine hoping to find the Power Ball and other precioses.

When you start the game, you can choose one of four races: human, elfa, dwarf or hobbit, differing in individual features such as strength, dexterity and intelligence. Then we choose the weapon and the necessary equipment, and so equipped we set off to the castle. The game boils down to entering specific commands responsible for traffic, looking at the map or looking around. In some situations, as well as during skirmishes, however, we have to choose one of several options suggested by the computer. During the game we encounter numerous monsters and traps and find treasures and useful items that improve or decrease the hero's coefficients.
