The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series Video Game Series
A series of episodic adventure games set in the universe of Robert Kirkman's comic books - the The Walking Dead (known in our country as The Living Dead), adapted into a popular TV series by AMC station. Responsible for the development and publishing process is the American studio Telltale Games, which has a lot of experience in creating adventures based on the license - its credits include Back to the Future: The Game, Jurassic Park: The Game or several games based on the series CSI. The brand is being developed in cooperation with Kirkman-founded Skybound Entertainment, the company responsible for publishing the comic book.
The series is divided into seasons, each consisting of five episodes released at intervals of several weeks. The first series debuted in 2012 and was recognized as one of the best titles of the period, with a total of more than 80 game of the year awards. The plot axis focused on the fate of convicted murderer Lee Everett, who, in the early days of the zombieapocalypse due to a confluence of events, begins to care for eight-year-old Clementine. Critics and players unanimously praised the title for its superbly written characters and memorable finale. In 2013, the release of the second season began, continuing the plots started in the previous episodes. This time, players directed the actions of Clementine - already a bit older and more independent. The third season was announced for the end of 2016.
The developers also prepared a special episode, titled The Walking Dead: 400 Days. It presented the fate of five new characters, providing a bridge between the first and second parts of the game. The series also lived to see a shorter, three-episode side season - The Walking Dead: Michonne . The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Games Mini-Series, depicting the fate of one of the favorite heroines of the TV universe - the black-skinned Michonne, wielding a samurai sword.
The series The Walking Dead is set in a world overrun by zombies, known from Robert Kirkman's comic books and the TV series based on them; in the course of the game we meet a number of characters known from the comic book original. The titular living dead (also known as "walkers") are created by a mysterious infection, and while at first it seems that being bitten by a zombie is the only way to spread the epidemic, it soon turns out that everyone is at risk - because everyone will become a dead person, regardless of the cause of death. Unlike other universes that take into account the existence of the living dead, in The Walking Dead they are the only supernatural element in the world presented. The plot revolves around the consequences of the appearance of zombies - primarily the breakdown of an orderly and predictable social organization. Consequently, the main threat to the survivors is not bloodthirsty monsters, but other people, fighting in every way for survival and increasingly difficult to obtain resources.
The gameplay consists mainly of exploring locations, holding conversations, collecting items and solving puzzles. However, unlike most adventure games, Telltale Games studio's series pays little attention to puzzles. Instead, its most important element is interacting with other characters and making choices. A hallmark of the series (and later also a hallmark of the studio) is forcing the player to make very difficult moral decisions, determining the survival of certain NPCs and the further development of the plot. An additional complication is the fact that the time to make a choice is limited: if we don't manage to decide on any of the options, our character will not take any action (e.g. keep quiet during a conversation), which often leads to an unfavorable turn of events. What's more, unlike most morality systems present mainly in RPGs, the decisions we make can rarely be clearly described as "good" or "bad." Every choice we make has consequences, and their tragedy often lies in the fact that we must choose between evil and evil. As a result, in some countries the game is used in ethics classes. The series also contains action elements realized in the form of quick time events.
Games in the series The Walking Dead have appeared on most modern platforms - individual episodes are released on both personal computers and seventh (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) and eighth (Xbox One, PlayStation 4) generation consoles, as well as on mobile devices and handheld consoles. The series uses cel-shading technology and slightly simplified and exaggerated character models, making it resemble the comic book original by Robert Kirkman. The whole thing is shown from a third-person perspective, with variable, heavily static camera placement.
Games The Walking Dead are designed exclusively for the single player. The absence of multiplayer mode is compensated for by the statistics presented at the end of each episode. We can learn from them what percentage of people who completed a given episode made the same decisions as we did.

The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Games Mini-Series
Adventure
February 23, 2016
A three-part episodic adventure game by Telltale Games that came out as an expansion to The Walking Dead: Season Two. The game takes us back to the world where human population was decimated by a zombie virus. As the title suggests, it focuses on one of the most recognizable characters from the original graphic novel – Michonne, the series' relentless, sword-wielding heroine. Since the original story revealed only shreds of her past, the game tries to fill in the gap by depicting the events that caused Michonne to leave Rick, Ezekiel and the rest of the group, and why she came back. Gameplay mechanics is the same as in the previous installments in The Walking Dead series, therefore, you mainly explore, talk to other characters, and make tough choices that determine how the story unfolds. The game does not include logic puzzles, which usually are the landmark of the genre, instead featuring simple action sequences.
