The Surge: A Walk in the Park

A Walk in the Park for PC, PS4 and XONE is an expansion to action RPG The Surge. Similarly to the basic version of the game, the expansion debuted, among other platforms, on Xbox One. It was developed by Deck13 Interactive.

Plot

The Surge: A Walk in the Park enables the players to leave the CREO corporation industrial complex and enter CREO World, an amusement park created for the employees of that company. Sadly, the good days of the park are long gone as the equipment and robots in the area are all rusty and the members of rescue crews had become insane like other employees of CREO.

Mechanics

The Surge: A Walk in the Park for PC, PS4 and XONE doesn’t modify the gameplay mechanics of the basic version of the game. Instead, the developers focused only on implementing new content. The expansion features a completely new, open area that can be freely explored. It also includes new equipment, sixteen types of weapons, armors and implants that improve player’s combat potential. The DLC enables the player to face previously unseen enemies, including a powerful boss.

Technical aspects

The Surge: A Walk in the Park requires the basic version of the game to work. The expansion can be bought separately or with The Surge and smaller DLCs. All of them are part of the complete version of the game called The Surge: Complete Edition.
