The Sojourn is a puzzle game developed by the independent studio Shifting Tides. The title, which is supposed to encourage the player to reflect on the nature of reality, was published by Iceberg Interactive, a company operating on the market since 2009.
Story
In The Sojourn we find ourselves on a picturesque island located in the title land. This world, although beautiful, hides many secrets; during the game, we have to learn them, traversing the parallel dimensions of light and darkness.
Mechanics
In The Sojourn the action is shown from first-person perspective. Throughout the four chapters of the story, we explore and solve various environmental puzzles, most often based on the manipulation of elements of the environment. In this way we push the action forward, getting to know the subsequent elements of the story.
Technical aspects
The Sojourn's three-dimensional visuals are of high quality and have been maintained in colorful, slightly cartoonish style. For the needs of the game, a climatic soundtrack was composed, which plays an important role in building the atmosphere.
