A 3D platformed based on the Smurfs licence. In The Smurfs: Dreams we traverse beautiful lands, trying to wake up the Smurfs affected by Gargamel's curse. We also solve puzzles, jump on platforms and fight. The game supports both singleplayer and local coop on a shared screen.
The Smurfs: Dreams is a 3D platformer based on the license of extremely popular comic books, TV series and animated movies. The team behind the development of this project is Ocellus. They have a similar genre game in their portfolio - Marsupilami: Hoobadventure.
Plot
The story told in The Smurfs: Dreams focuses on the new plan of the sinister Gargamel. Wanting to finally catch the Smurfs, their archenemy placed a curse on the sarsaparilla bushes, causing his victims to fall into a deep sleep after eating their delicious leaves. We play as one of the Smurfs during the game. Our task is to wake up all the other Smurfs before Gargamel manages to reach the village.
Mechanics
In The Smurfs: Dreams we watch the action from a bird's eye view. The adventure leads us through various dream lands. Although the levels are joyful and colorful, they can turn into nightmares. The individual Smurfs have to cope with that in order to break Gargamel's curse and wake up.
While traversing subsequent locations, we jump on platforms, avoid traps and terrain obstacles, and solve ingenious environmental puzzles. We also have to face opponents, among which powerful bosses are the most dangerous ones.
On the way, we collect magical balls and patterns that allow us to customize the appearance of our Smurf according to individual preferences.
Game modes
The Smurfs: Dreams game allows us to play alone or in cooperation mode on a shared screen.
Technical aspects
The graphic design of The Smurfs: Dreams is maintained in a cartoon style.

Screen Rant: 7 / 10 by Carrie Lambertsen
Overall, the game is incredibly fun and beautiful, and I found myself enjoying every moment I had in it. For anyone looking for a fairly light platformer with a cheerful atmosphere and puzzles, or who may be a fan of The Smurfs, this is an adventure worthy of embarking on. Just be aware that it is not very long or complex, but The Smurfs: Dreams is absolutely a game that will put a smile on my face every time I think of it.

It’s hardly a Game of the Year contender, but I’ve certainly played games that are much, much worse. It’s decent enough that I can say that if you’re in the mood for an above-average 3D platformer, it’ll certainly do the trick.
GameGrin: 9.5 / 10 by Violet Plata
The Smurfs - Dreams was a downright magical experience; although I did encounter a few things I wish had been different, they are instantly forgotten thanks to everything I loved about the game.
