The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces Description
The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces is an arcade flight simulator whose unique control system allows the player to feel like in the cockpit of a real machine. Game development is the responsibility of Project Aces studio.
Dozens of years of wars are coming to an end. The world will conquer peace. Its inhabitants, however, accustomed to war fever, are unable to adapt to a life in which normality and harmony are to prevail. In order to mitigate the shock and gradually prepare people for a peaceful existence, governments artificially trigger a new phase of war, this time characterised by the struggle of rich corporations rather than by a typical arms show of states.
The best recruit in this crib turns out to be a pilot named Lynx. His skills entangle him into a secret military project in which scientists try to create an immortal pilot. The player's task is to accompany the master in his air conquests and solve the mystery of the already mentioned secret project.
The game is characterized by an innovative control system. Nunchuk in the hands of the player plays the role of a stick, while Wiimote becomes a throttle. The competition is accompanied by a spectacular three-dimensional graphic design emphasizing the dynamics of air fights.
