The Sims 3: Showtime Description
The Sims 3: Showtime is an offer addressed to fans of The Sims 3, which are not afraid of performances on stage and laborious road to popularity. At the request of players, the developers of EA The Sims Studio returned to the old idea (proven in the expansion called The Sims SuperStar) by expanding it of new elements. The expansion makes a revolution of the game play, introduces social features and allows mutual contacts between the Sims of different players.
The expansion called The Sims 3: Showtime offers three new career paths which are strongly related to characteristics and life dreams of Sims. The virtual characters can be singers, DJs, performers (acrobats) or magicians. These professions are connected with the stage and public appearances – that is why there is an opportunity to build their own show places.
The thing which can be called a revolution is social features introduced in The Sims: Showtime. Now, you are allowed to communicate with friends, create a friends list and post information and photos on their walls.
An interesting option is SimPort – it is the ability to export and import the characters. Now, gamers can for example send their Sims to a concert in the game led by another player or vice versa – have other people's heroes staying. Those meetings are even awarded.
In terms of the audiovisual, the expansion of The Sims: Showtime does not deviate from the standard level of the base version of the game. Noteworthy are special effects that make the special atmosphere on stage during Sims’ performances (for example lighting during concerts or mist during the illusionist’s show).
