Steam
A jRPG, featuring a princess who wishes to save her kingdom and avoid its complete fall. The Silent Kingdom is a project completed by a single developer. One of the key aspects of the game is being able to romance multiple characters. We can also make important choices and all of this can influence the game's ending.
The Silent Kingdom is a jRPG, maintained in the style of otome (a Japanese term referring to romance-themed games in which the main protagonist is a woman). The development of this game was handled by an independent developer using the pseudonym Lucky Cat.
Story
The Silent Kingdom transports us to a fantasy kingdom burdened with a curse, as a result of which it began to lean towards its downfall. We take on the role of Princess Erinys (although the game allows us to change her name). In order to save what she loves, our protagonist must stand against the whole world, even the Goddess herself. How the further fate of the protagonist and her kingdom will unfold largely depends on our actions and the choices we make.
Gameplay
In The Silent Kingdom we watch the action from a bird's eye view. During the game we explore a fantasy land and get to know its inhabitants, we carry out quests and participate in turn-based fights, during which the camera shows the battlefield from the side.
Companions come in handy during battles and they can join the princess as she progresses in the story. Each character has an individual set of attacks and strengths, and skillfully using them is key to victory in battles against opponents, led by monsters.
Romances also play an important role in the game and Erinys has multiple options. Romances are not mandatory, but they can affect the course of the story and its ending.
Graphics
The graphic design of The Silent Kingdom was maintained in a manga style.
