The Relic: The First Guardian is an action RPG game developed by Project Cloud Games and published by Perp Games.

Plot

The Relic: The First Guardian is set in a fantasy world of Arsiltus. The relic defending the realm was destroyed, while the resulting void turned it deadly and unhospitable. We play as the titular Guardian, tasked with gathering the relic's fragments and deal with the void before it's too late.

Mechanics

The Relic: The First Guardian is a third-person game. The player must traverse various locations, such as beautiful landscapes, grim settlements, dungeons and caves. As we traverse them, we meet their people, complete quests, take part in random events and face enemies. Apart from regular foes, we'll also face powerful bosses.

Combat requires constant movement, dodging and counter-attacking, observing the enemies' patterns to find gaps in their defenses. There are many different weapons to wield, such as shortswords, longswords, greatswords, shields, daggers, magic staves and many more. We can also make use of the environment in combat.

As we progress through the game, we develop our character, acquire and craft better equipment, as well as gather runes that increase our combat capabilities.
