The Price Is Right is an American television game show originated in the 1950s. Ludia game studio decided to celebrate the show’s over four decades on air with a social game, which recreates most characteristic elements of the original.
In The Price Is Right: Decades players take on the roles of participants in the game show, who have to guess pricing of merchandise (or services). You can show off your insight in more than 40 disciplines, including Plinko, Cliff Hangers, and Punch-A-Bunch.
The game offers two play modes. Single player lets you compete against AI-controlled opponents. In multiplayer up to four people can play on one console.
The creators of The Price Is Right: Decades put strong emphasis on implementing elements that are characteristic of the original production. Fans of the game show should easily recognize hosts of the program, the setting and props (e.g. the wheel used to select finalists), as well as famous catch-phrases.
The game is characterized by very simple 3D graphics. Players are represented by their console avatars. The game is set in a virtual studio, while products are presented in authentic cut-scenes taken from the original show. The best players are rewarded not only with high scores, but also unlock bonus materials, including a recording of mishaps and funny situations from over 40-year history of the program.
