The Origin: Blind Maid is a survival horror made in the form of an action adventure game. The game was developed by the Warani Studios team and published by BadLand Publishing.

Plot

The Origin: Blind Maid takes us to Gran Chaco, a vast region on the border between Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. The hero of the game is a corrupt politician who comes here trying to escape to Brazil from justice. The protagonist, abandoned by his assistant, has to face the monstrosities lurking here, taken straight out of South American folklore. We are talking about all sorts of ghosts, deformed beings who are personifications of mental illness and, above all, about Blind Maid. In order to survive, a man must discover the secret of the tragic events that led to the birth of her.

Mechanics

In The Origin: Blind Maid, we observe the action from a first person perspective (FPP). The game consists of five chapters, in which we explore gloomy locations and achieve the missions goals, gradually discovering the next elements of the puzzle. Of course, there are various enemies standing in our way, which the hero cannot face in the first phase of his adventure. Therefore, we must sneak behind their backs or hide in the tall grass and, if detected, escape. Over time, however, the psychophysical abilities of the protagonist increase, we are hit by firearms (although we never have enough ammunition) and equipment like holy water, and we learn combat spells from a friendly alchemist. All this means that, as we progress, we can face more and more risks.
