The One We Found is an FPP survival horror game, in which we explore mysterious tunnels under a psychiatric hospital. The developer of the title is the debuting studio Loveridge Designs. The artists were inspired by horror films and the biggest gaming hits of the horror genre, such as Outlast or Amnesia: Dark Madness.

Plot

In The One We Found we play the role of James Ledgewick, a doctor and psychotherapist working in Whisperwood psychiatric hospital. The recently discovered network of mysterious tunnels, which extend under the facility, becomes a source of bizarre and paranormal events. They lead to complete chaos and turn patients into thoughtless monsters. The hero is forced to find the secret hidden in the tunnels and destroy the evil lurking in them.

Mechanics

The One We Found is a classic survival horror, in which the action is observed from first-person perspective. While playing, we explore the dark corridors of the hospital, as well as underground tunnels full of dangers. Unlike many other games of the genre, here we are not completely defenceless. The creators put at our disposal various types of firearms, such as a pistol or a shotgun. However, we must be careful, as we have limited ammunition. During the adventure we come across various kinds of monsters. Depending on the situation, we have to hide from them or fight with them.

Technical aspects

The One We Found's audiovisual setting is not very impressive and even in part it is not equal to the leaders of the genre. Loveridge Designs uses sounds, three-dimensional models and textures that were purchased in the Unity development store.
