The Moonlighters is a project of Rad Dragon, an independent studio known to smartphone users from the hit crowd despair simulation - Shove Pro. This time, Teddy Diefenbach and Mike Sennott, a developer tandem, decided to give players a chance to test themselves as members of a thieving sheikh.

The action of the game was set in the 1950s. Inspired by films such as Sting and Ocean's Eleven, the plot depicts the adventures of a group of extremely talented criminals who steal money and valuables from carefully guarded places.

The player's goal is to carry out a series of perfectly planned and executed thefts. Each member of the robbery has different skills, which can be useful for performing specific tasks (opening the safe, distracting the guard, provoking confusion, etc.). The jump plan includes a number of stages during which only one character can be controlled.

The creators of The Moonlighters decided to use two-dimensional graphics with isometric projection. The cartoon-like visuals resemble casual productions (e.g. character models with disproportionately large heads). The party is pleasurable thanks to the atmospheric sound background, the pace and sound of which are adjusted to current events.
