Mechanics

In The Lost Wild we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). During the game we move through the research center and its surroundings, completing tasks which push the story forward.

Due to the fact that dinosaurs can be found everywhere, it is not an idyllic place to be. So we must carefully look around for useful items that will increase our chances of survival. Although the weapons we find are not able to kill bloodthirsty reptiles, they can effectively deter them, for example, like a torch. In addition, we should stay hidden, which forces us not only to quietly sneak behind the backs of enemies, but also to distract them. When everything else fails, there is nothing left for us but to run and try to find a hideout.

It is worth remembering that the behaviour of dinosaurs depends on advanced artificial intelligence, which constantly learns our tricks and adapts to them. This makes it necessary for us to frequently change tactics and apply new solutions.

Technical aspects

The Lost Wild runs on Unreal Engine technology. Developers used its capabilities well, so the graphics of this game presents a very high quality. Both detailed locations and rich vegetation, as well as detailed and realistically animated dinosaurs impress.
