The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes: The Case of the Serrated Scalpel Description
The action of the programme takes place in 1881, in London. Sherlock Holmes and his faithful companion Dr. Watson are summoned to the next scene of the crime. This time a young actress fell victim to murder, whose body was discovered in an alley near the theatre. The first suspicions of the police, of course, fall on the Ripper's Cuba, but our hero, after half an examination of the traces, rejects this possibility. At this point, a player appears on stage, who will independently conduct an arduous investigation aimed at capturing a real murderer.
As befits a truly detective game, in The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes our main task will be to interrogate people we meet and requiring a great deal of patience, collecting evidence. Dr. Watson comments on all our actions on an ongoing basis, who additionally draws notes from the progress made so far. We can review them at any time, so that perhaps we will see something that we accidentally missed out on the first time. We move around London using a map. At the beginning, the number of available locations is not too large, but with the progress of the game, it will grow.
The game uses the interface borrowed from adventure games LucasArts. So we have eight commands that we combine with the things on the main screen. In addition, there are other buttons, the most important of which are access to Dr. Watson's inventory and diary. In addition, we have quick access to files (loading and recording the state of the game) and an extensive setup, in which you can change almost everything. Graphics is very good and should not disappoint adventure fans, as well as the excellent soundtrack, with lots of samples and music, faithfully reflecting the atmosphere of the era.
