The Great Battles of Alexander Description
The Great Battles of Alexander is the first strategy game in a series created by the Erudite Software team, presenting the course of the most famous Battle Campaigns in the history. It is basically a turn-based war game, created on the basis of the original board game. It plays ten battles of Alexander the Great, from the time of Chaeroneo in 338 BC to Hydapses in 326 BC
We have a choice of a campaign, which we have to fight as Macedonians, or we play single battles by choosing any side. At the beginning of each scenario, the individual armies are automatically placed on the battlefield according to historical data. The game takes place on maps divided into hexagonal fields of varied terrain. The commanders of our units show their own initiative, leading their troops to fight. An important factor in the command system is the range of communication between individual commanders and the headquarters, which may influence the outcome of the battle. The game also has a multiplayer mode that allows you to play two people on the LAN or on the Internet.
