The Girl of Glass: A Summer Bird's Tale is a fairy-tale adventure game enriched with solutions from genres such as RPG and visual novel. The game was developed by the independent studio Markus with Friends.

Plot

The Girl of Glass: A Summer Bird's Tale takes us on a journey to a fairy-tale version of Europe from the 1950s, to be precise, to a fictional country ruled by an eagle-tyran. The main character of the game - Kristal, a girl made of glass - we meet when she works in a circus. One day, a boy visits her and convinces to run away. Something that initially predicted the adventure of their lives is quickly becoming a mission, culminating in the inevitable confrontation with the eagle and an attempt to change the established order.

Mechanics

The Girl of Glass: A Summer Bird's Tale is a side-scrolling game. During the game, we travel through picturesque locations and get to know various characters for whom we perform tasks. In addition, we often have to make choices that affect the course of the story.

The RPG elements add variety to the gameplay; from time to time we face our enemies, and during turn-based battles we not only have to learn about the weak points of our enemies, but we also use skills that we expand as we progress. In addition, over time, the heroine is joined by other characters who help her in her mission.
