The Franz Kafka Videogame for PC is a classic adventure game by Russian developer Denis Galanin, the creator of Hamlet or last game without MMORPG elements, shaders, and product placement.
Plot
The plot is based on the works and life of Franz Kafka. The story, however, is not an exact copy of its literary predecessor and instead follows a separate story in which you can find references to e.g. the novels The Castle and America, as well as the stories The Judgement, The Metamorphosis, and others.
Mechanics
Since it's an adventure game, the gameplay focuses on solving puzzles, requiring logical skills, analytical skills and the ability to associate facts with each other. The puzzles are well-ingrained into the plot and can be quite challenging.
Technical aspects
The visuals of The Franz Kafka Videogame for PC feature hand-drawn 2D backgrounds and simple animations in a style resembling that of surreal paintings by René Magritte.
