Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is an action game made in the horror convention and, as the title itself says, containing biblical motifs - the most terrible ones on the margin. The action of the game takes place in today's times. The player does not become just anyone, because Archangel Abaddon, sent with an extremely important mission to find three "elect" who will save our world from annihilation. The task turns out to be extremely difficult, because not only do we have to face hosts of demons, zealots and even four riders of the apocalypse, carrying in turn: plague, war, hunger and death; it is also our chosen ones, let's say the 'rebellious spirits', i.e. a serial murderer, a prostitute and a corrupt politician.
The essence of the gameplay itself is first of all an extremely effective fight, in which the "slow-motion effect" was used. (known from the film Matrix). Our hero can use various weapons, both swords and modern pistols or automatic weapons, as well as magic. The best audio-visual effects have been used to enhance our experience, and the level of violence is described by producers as "extreme violence". (stunning death scenes, blood splashes, etc.). The game abounds in numerous atmospheric film sequences, which move the plot forward. In total, there are more than 18 levels to pass, located in very diverse locations, including gothic, postapocalyptic times after the Third World War, and even the very depths of hell. Famous comic artists Simon Bisley and David DeVries took an active part in the creation of the Four Riders of the Apocalypse (Bisley is known for his work on the Judge Dredd, Lobo and Heavy Metal series, and DeVries for the covers of the X-Men series).
