The Fall: Last Days of Gaia
The Fall: Mutant City is a stand-alone extension to the post-nuclear-based cRPG game The Fall: Last Days of Gaia. This time the first fiddle in the plot line plays, as we can easily guess, the title mutants, and the script of the game takes place three years after the events of the original - in 2086.
For a little over a thousand days, the situation on the planet has become very complicated. After the implementation of the "Biosphere" project it was possible to partially solve the problems known from the first part of the game, but like mushrooms after the rain grew and swollen new, monstrous problems. The place of the old government was quickly and skillfully taken by numerous, brutal and eternally opposed to the rest of the world gangs, who do not have a habit of saving anyone. What is more, a new, unimaginable threat has appeared on the desert horizon from mutants, called "faceless", due to their monstrous appearance. No one is able to say what the plans of the Misfits are, what drives them, and why they so mercilessly and without remorse murder everything that moves and is not mutated. There is only one thing that is certain in all this disgrace - if nobody finally moves out of the armchair and does not clean up all this mess, these maniac "choppers" will take over the world, and this virtual people living in The Fall would certainly not want to do so.
Transforming our hard-earned/sophisticated money into a box with The Fall: Mutant City inscription, we get the opportunity to get acquainted with the next, very important chapter of the saga. The storyline layer is interesting, extensive and provides a non-linear gameplay with many possible endings. We are wandering through dozens of new areas, where we meet many inventive and imaginative tasks. Cyclical time changes have also been taken into account, so we save the world from extinction both during the day and at night. Just like in reality, in The Fall, the NPCs perform different activities in different places, depending on the current time of day. In addition, we have at our disposal 8 new "crew members" who are eager to help the player in his mission. Each of the "new" is equipped with a colourful biography and a characteristic range of options for interaction with the protagonist. Military-lovers and collectors should not be disappointed either - in Mutant City there is a dizzying number of over 600 different weapons and items. All this is enriched with a refined graphic design, which, according to the artists, perfectly reflects the unique atmosphere and characteristic "feeling" of the postapocalyptic world.
