The Expendables 2

An action game developed by Ubisoft and based on the movie of same title. In the game, the player assumes the role of members of an elite mercenary squad. They go on a dangerous mission in order to avenge their friends and save the world from a terrorist. The team includes the protagonists of both movies, and each of them uses their favorite weapons.
The Expendables 2 for PC, X360 and PS3 is an action game for four players. It is based on the movie that has same title and it was developed by Ubisoft.
Plot
In the game the players become members of a mercenary squad. They go on a dangerous mission in order to avenge their friend and save the world from a dangerous terrorist. The team consists of characters known from both Expendables movies – Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li) and Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren). The actors did not given their voice for the game, but character models are very similar to them.
Mechanics
Gameplay of The Expendables 2 for PC, X360 and PS3 mixes a few different styles. Most of the time players are traveling through the levels in groups and repel attacks of hordes of opponents. During such scenes the action is shown from above and the game is similar to classic “scrolled” action shooters with a four-player cooperation mode. During other parts of the campaign the game transforms into a rail shooter – all the player must do is aim and kill the enemies.
Each character available in The Expendables 2 uses his favorite weapons, but he can also collect additional rifles during the game. Experience points are given for completing the missions and they can be spent on upgrades. Higher difficulty levels allow repeating the levels and finding new challenges.
