The second DLC expansion included in the season pass for The Evil Within. It shows the second half of the story from the previous expansion, starting right after the end of The Assignment. Once again, the players assume the role of Julia Kidman, partner of the game’s amnesiac protagonist, who mysteriously disappeared during the events of the game.

The Evil Within: The Consequence Description

The Consequence is the second story DLC for The Evil Within, a third-person survival horror by Tango Gameworks. It is a direct sequel to the story started in The Assignment. Both add-ons are a part of three-part season pass for The Evil Within, offering 15-20 hours of gameplay altogether.

The action of The Consequence takes place during the events of the original game, allowing to observe them from a different perspective. They are focused on three detectives sent to a mental institution with a task to investigate the case of brutal murders committed within the walls of that place. On the spot, it turns out that the site is surrounded by police cars, but there is nobody to be found.

Much like in The Assignment, the protagonist of the add-on is Juli Kidman, who is an amnesiac partner of the protagonist of The Evil Within, Sebastian Castellanos. The players get to know what caused her mysterious disappearances, as well as uncover additional details of the story. At the same time, the plot raised another questions so as to maintain the atmosphere of horror and mystery. The missions with Juli are even more dark and claustrophobic. The players uncover a new motive in the storyline mainly through exploration and solving puzzles. The game also contains action sequences in which we run or fight abominable monsters.
