The Elder Scrolls Online: Orsinium Description
Orsinium is the second major DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for PC, XONE and PS4 and other platforms. The expansion is available free of charge to the subscribers, while the remaining players have to pay an in-game fee (in Crowns) to take part in this new adventure. Orsinum for PC, XONE and PS4 was developed by ZeniMax Online, which is a part of Bethesda Softworks, just like the original game.
Story
The expansion offers a new storyline that takes place in the northwest part of the Tamriel continent, in the frosty Wrothgarian Mountains, which are homeland of the orcs. The story revolves around the unifications of orcish clans by king Kurog and rebuilding their country which capital is the eponymous Orsinium stronghold.
Gameplay
The quests offered by the expansion provide additional 20 hours of gameplay and can be taken by characters of any experience level. Apart from the orc-inhabited locations, the new region comes with other places of interest to find. These include, for example, new dungeons: the dwarven ruins called Rkindaleft hidden in the heart of a glacier and the remains of the Old Orsinium, the original orcish stronghold that was destroyed in days of yore. Moreover, the adventurers that prefer to play alone may visit Maelstrom Arena, which offers a series of challenges as well as the chance to put one’s name in the leaderboards. Naturally, Orsinium does not lack for new items to acquire and craft.
Technical aspects
The Elder Scrolls Online for PC, XONE and PS4 looks the same with or without Orsinium installed. However, when the expansion came out, the developers released a patch that introduced numerous fixes, for example, for the system of joining players intro parties (LFG), level scaling, and assigning champion points.
