Developed by an independent Canadian studio Coconut Games, The Day After: Origins is an open world game, in which the player has to fight for survival during their stay in Grey Hill. This backwater town is under quarantine because of an unknown virus that turns the inhabitants into wild, aggressive creatures.

The Day After: Origins is an open-world action game Developed by an independent Canadian studio called Coconut Games. Previously, the studio also worked on games for home platforms (Magnet Knights) as well as handheld devices (Sift Heads, Gravinyator).

Plot

The Day After: Origins takes players to Grayfox Hill – a small mining town located in North America. The place is under quarantine and has been isolated from the outside world, as the townsfolk fell victim to a dangerous and unknown virus that turns them into primitive, yet very dangerous creatures. The main protagonist – Noah Byers – attempts to stay alive in this unwelcoming reality and has to face all kinds of new problems, as well as some unsolved cases from their past.

The story is non-linear, and the protagonist’s actions are overwatched by the Karma system that reflects all his decisions.
